Kapalua Beach on Maui
In a Lavender Fog

I was blessed to have to take cover under a tree during a rain shower at the iris garden. I would never have discovered this wonderful abstract otherwise!
The Shower Tree

These were just beginning to bloom. I would love to see them in full bloom. If you Google it you can see why! They come in a variety of colors.
More jungle
The jungle was so -- well, jungle-y -- just like the movies!
Ben, can you remind me what these trees are?
He says Australian eucalyptus imported to Molokai.
Wood Rats

Kalaupapa National Forest we walked through to get to the overlook.

Dorothy & Val, Kenny, Julie & Ben, our friends in Molokai.
Our first sunset wasn't the most spectacular, but it was lovely.
Hula Trees

I love trees, and palm trees are no exception.

Central Molokai: This coconut grove on the south shore of Molokai was planted in the 1860's by King Kamehameha V. The King selected this site because of the seven sacred ponds located here. He had 1,000 tall, royal coconut palm trees planted here to represent each warrior in his mighty army and to shade the sacred bathing pools of the royalty.
