Snowy Owl People Watching I am soooo excited I got to see 3 snowy owls at Damon Point in Ocean Shores, Washington today. It was a gray, dreary day, but we watched them for an hour or more before the rain hit. They just sat there posing so beautifully, watching all the photographers taking pictures of them. They are such gorgeous creatures. Locals can check with me if you'd like details about how to find them. I guess they're hanging around there regularly now. Here's an article about them. Other people in the northern USA can search online to learn about the "irruption" -- maybe you can find them in your area too! Here's a shot of how my husband helps me with the bird watching

The darker owl in the background is a younger one, not yet turned white. The foreground one is what, 2 years old or so? still not as white as a full-grown bird.
