Sing of Yourself
The true self is not aware that it is a self. A bird, as it sings, sings itself. But not according to a picture. It has no idea of itself. DH Lawrence

A funny story: I'm a new bird enthusiast since discovering birds behind the lens. I was at the Portland Rose Garden and kept hearing this bird song I didn't recognize. Eventually this junco flew nearby and I realized it must be him! Juncos were one of the first birds I learned, but I never realized what their song was. I looked it up in iBirdPro on my iPhone, played the song, and sure enough -- right bird! Well, this little guy divebombed right over beside me and started replying to the bird song on my iPhone! Since I was taking closeup shots of the flowers, I took this shot with my 100mm macro (closeup) lens, rather than my telephoto I would usually use for birds -- and he was so close he still filled the frame!
