Oxbow Bend in Blues 'n Golds
Wow, what an amazing place the Grand Tetons is! This is one of my worse shots of Oxbow Bend -- harsh sun, etc. How can you get a bad shot from here?! This was from our quick climb down the hillside to scout out a spot for sunset, so I didn't have my tripod to do a bracketed shot or anything very fancy, but when I saw these clouds and the band of brilliant trees I just fired off a few quick handheld shots. It turned out to be one of my favorites from the Tetons. I have to hold off on processing many of the others 'cuz I just bought Photomatix, and I want to learn to put together my bracketed shots, so that may take me a while!
