Lunch at the Wildlife Refuge
Are YOU the Ugly Duckling?!! Did you locals know there are WHITE PELICANS on the Columbia River this year? I've seen them several times between Biggs and Portland, and my girlfriend has seen them near Tri-Cities and in Walla Walla, WA! For those of you who are not local, we only get the brown pelicans in our area and at the Pacific coast. I've been dying to get white pelicans. Must get out there again to get some closeups, but it's scary 'cuz there wasn't a good wide spot on the freeway where they were hanging out.
