I try to post an image daily, tho I don't necessarily shoot an image daily. I find it takes a lot of perseverance just to get a shot processed and loaded every day, and the discipline stretches me to continually improve my skills.

I finally got out for some fog shots today. I need to learn better metering control, especially when the sun's breaking thru the fog. Any suggestions?

The new ROAR exhibit at the Oregon zoo is pretty fascinating. One lion and two lionesses are learning their roles.

This one was also at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. Check out the ISO in my exif data! And even with that, this is the sharpest shot I could get. Any suggestions? I even tried flash, tho it's not allowed for many of the other tanks.

Woohoo! I finally saw the "gray ghost," the male northern harrier at the wildlife refuge (Ridgefield, Washington) today. And not only did I see him, but he did a fabulous circle-around fly-by for me. I have never gotten this good a shot of the FEMALES in flight, much less this rare guy -- full frame, uncropped. What a thrill!! It was a fabulous day at the refuge. I ended up staying all day for the first time. I just couldn't get enuf!!
