I try to post an image daily, tho I don't necessarily shoot an image daily. I find it takes a lot of perseverance just to get a shot processed and loaded every day, and the discipline stretches me to continually improve my skills.

Another from the Bandon animal park that breeds large cats for zoos. This big guy was so cute and cuddly looking!
Thanks for the crop suggestion -- what a difference!

I'm afraid I'll be doing a lot of posting and running thru this busy time. We have 4 birthdays on top of the Christmas bustle, so it's pretty crazy around here!

Winter has hit -- we've had cold, clear days, which are unusual for our rainy region. I love searching for frosty surprises!

synapped > Columbia River

The Columbia River separates Oregon & Washington between Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. In the fall all the trees along the river turn a brilliant yellow, but we seldom have sunshine at a time when I can try to shoot this area. I wish I had a boat! Mt. Hood in the background.

Just for kicks, here's a Fractalius (Photoshop filter) variation of the dandelion upload from the other day.

I'm lovin' the fog this time of year! This one is from last year tho -- just came across it again and decided I should post it.

Wow, what a surprise I got tonight! I decided to head to the viewpoint of the Columbia River Gorge for sunset, since it was a clear day. I had planned out my shot and had gotten back in my car to wait for the sunset color to deepen. The wind was really blowing, and it was freezing up there. I got out when the sun hit the Vista House like this, and to my amazement, there was the full moon!! If I had stayed out there all along I would have seen it rise over the mountains. DOH!

synapped > Sometimes You Have to Look

Something from long ago I keep meaning to upload. I love playing with dandelions! This one had some daisies in the background which reflected in the dewdrops. It was suggested that I crop this to showcase the reflections better. I kindof like the idea of the tiny drops in a big world. What do you think?

I finally climbed a bit of Mt. Rainier in Washington state this year in late summer. I hadn't realized there was an "easy" path for us woosey kinds of people! Wow, what an amazing place! I missed the best of the flower show, but the cool thing was that the higher you climbed, you got spring all over again!
